Hi there! I'm Mikayla, founder of Havenstone Consulting, and I'm so glad you're here!
I have long loved the creativity, inventiveness, and compassion that goes into creating meaningful behavioral health and community programs. I've been privileged to serve communities in a variety of roles - clinical and leadership. Throughout my career, I have developed a deep appreciation for the challenges organizations face, and how those challenges impact their teams and the populations they serve. These experiences have shaped the way I approach consulting - with people as the foundation. I approach new project with curiosity, compassion, and a commitment to building practical solutions alongside the people doing this crucial work.
My academic background reflects my commitment to lifelong learning and evidence-based practice. I hold a Doctor of Behavioral Health with a concentration in management, a Master of Legal Studies, a Bachelor of Science in Forensic Psychology with minors in Statistics and Criminal Justice, and a Graduate Certificate in Addiction and Substance Use-Related Disorders. I am also a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC). I enjoy translating research into practical strategies that organizations can implement to improve services, strengthen teams, and create sustainable change.
I believe the best solutions are built through collaboration, transparency, and a deep understanding of the people and communities an organization serves.
Whether you're launching a new initiative, strengthening an existing program, or looking for a trusted thought partner, I'm here to support your team with pragmatic guidance, fresh perspective, and a genuine commitment to helping your organization thrive.
